What’s your top pick of Malaysian experiences first time visitors should look out for?

I would say the best Malaysian experience is how everyone here gets along so well with one another regardless of colour and religion. At every festivity, you see people of all faiths and races come together to celebrate as one, whether it’s Deepavali, Hari Raya or Chinese New Year. We are one, and that in my opinion, is a wonderful experience.

Malaysia is famous for its food. Pray tell, what’s on the food list for Miss Malaysia?

Personally, I would say Village Park in Damansara Uptown for the Nasi Lemak and Jonker Street, Melaka for the Assam Pedas. You also canít go wrong with Roti Canai, which is available at any mamak throughout the country.

We heard you love obstacle courses. What have been the best ones you’ve participated in?

The most challenging one that I have participated in was the 21km and 20 obstacles Viper Challenge. It is always edged in my mind because it was not only the first course I participated in but because I finished off with a great timing, it motivated me to participate in more obstacle courses.

Would you recommend first timers to give it a go?

Yes, I would.  It was a great atmosphere as the participants were extremely friendly and helpful. As the challenge I completed wasn’t a time driven one, Viper encourages participants to go at their own pace to avoid unforeseen injuries and complications. Viper has now come up with different challenges with varying level of difficulty catered for different age groups. In this way, participants can sign up for courses that are best suited for them.

The one Malaysian tourist attraction you’d highly recommend to visit?

It would be Kuala Lumpur’s crown jewel, The Petronas Twin Towers. It is architecturally one of the most stunning skyscrapers in the world and the towers are depicted through its outline, resembling the letter ‘M’ for Malaysia with its jagged structure resembling Malaysia’s traditional handicrafts and basket weaving. It is also a famous shopping destination as the mall offers a range of luxury shops, and fine dining restaurants.
