The Ultimate Family Retreat

By Richard

Carving a reputation for itself as a family adventure destination and retreat, the Lost World of Tambun stands as the only theme park in Southeast Asia with natural hot springs and a self-contained wonderland cocooned by lush tropical jungle. It also boasts several thrilling parks and breathtaking limestone features, some of which date back over 400 million years.

Fun For All Ages

Ideal for both adults and children, the Lost World of Tambun’s Beach Garden is perfect for unwinding as it offers a pure crystal-white sandy beach with the adjacent Explorabay offering fun activities for the kids. The specifically-designed children-friendly area is filled with water cannons, spraying elephants, giant tipping buckets and water curtains for a wet day of fun.

Adrenaline Pumping Encounters

Fast and thrilling rides are the hallmarks of all theme parks and the Lost World of Tambun is certainly in no short supply of its own. For a boost of adrenaline, visitors can opt to take on the Cliff Racer, where they can slide down Indiana Jones style at maximum speed or take to the air with Dragon Flights. Other cool attractions include the fun and thrilling Tube Raiders, a cool water slide, and fan favourite Storm Rider, which is a pirate boat that swings 180 degrees.  Visitors can also opt to try Lupe’s Adventure, Perak’s first roller coaster ride.

Adventure Abound

More family time can be explored at some of these must-go attractions. Both parents and children can get wet and wild at the 660 metre-long Adventure River, Asia’s longest river ride or dry off on the Adventure Express, an ancient locomotive which travels past majestic ruins. History buffs will appreciate Tin Valley, which traces Perak’s heritage in tin mining. Animal lovers should make a beeline for the Petting Zoo to get up close with the many animal species that reside there, or visit Tiger Valley to meet Putra, Jazz, Rock and Louie, the Lost World of Tambun’s very own Siberian Tiger brothers.
